Ravenna Land and Livestock is a fourth generation livestock business that prides itself not only in the stock that we raise, but in the relationships that we create with old and new customers.
Ravenna Land and Livestock was started in the early 1930's by our grandfather shipping good draft teams from the Midwest to eastern seaboard. He spent a lifetime buying cattle and operating two successful markets, staying very active in the business until his early nineties.
Today, Ravenna Land and Livestock is operated by third and fourth generations Katie Swisher and Tobe Hammond. Our ranch is located in central Nebraska on the edge of the famous Nebraska sand hills and just north of the Platte Valley. We breed working Quarter horses focused on foundation bloodlines that require strict detail to conformation and disposition. We also maintain spring and fall cow herds, a small feedlot as well as a sheep flock. Along with our daily chores, Katie is active in horse health and is a horse chiropractor, and Tobe is order buyer.
"Our mission is to provide fair dealings and complete service with others involved in the livestock and horse industry.
